Sivagiri Sree Narayana Medical Mission college of Nursing was started in October 2004 with an intake of 50 students in BSc.Nursing programme under University of Kerala. The seats were enhanced to 70 seats in 2009. MSc Nursing course was started in 2009 in five specialties.  PBBSc Nursing course was started in 2010. The college functions within the framework of the mission and goals of Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust. The college is committed to provide comprehensive nursing education program of high quality.

 Sree Narayana Guru’s teaching “One Caste, One Religion and One God for Man” and to do service to humanity permeates through all activities of the nursing college. Guru considered temples as centers of social education and for purity of body, mind and intellect. He proclaimed that the main temple shall be educational institutions - temples of learning and to gain freedom through education.

The college is situated on the holy land of Sivagiri and is managed by Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust.
